OGCS Guinea SARL is a consultancy company specializing in the provision of multi-disciplined Project Management Services to the Global Mining and Energy Industry. We invite applicants for this role for the Simandou project in Guinea, West Africa. 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Supervisor to lead and coordinate field execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation (MEI) works on-site at Simandou, Guinea.

The MEI Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation installation across all areas of the Simandou Project, including mine, rail, port and Conakry office facilities. All MEI systems must be installed and maintained to the highest standards of quality, performance, and compliance.

This role is based at the Simandou Mine Site in Guinea , with occasional travel between project sites.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation activities in line with project schedules, safety requirements, and engineering specifications.

  • Ensure the correct installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of MEI systems and equipmentzMonitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with HSE, QA/QC, and company standards.

  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to resolve technical issues.

  • Lead by example in establishing a strong safety culture and environmental stewardship.

  • Report on progress, issues, and performance metrics to site leadership.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience supervising MEI activities on large-scale industrial or mining projects.

  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems, HV/LV electrical systems, and process instrumentation.

  • Excellent leadership and team coordination skills in multicultural, remote, or challenging environments.

  • Familiarity with international construction standards, codes, and practices.

  • Committed to high safety and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent).

  • Experience working in West Africa or similar remote regions is highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of project execution in greenfield mega-projects is a plus.
