OGCS Guinea SARL is a consultancy company specializing in the provision of multi-disciplined Project Management Services to the Global Mining and Energy Industry. We invite applicants for this role for the Simandou project in Guinea, West Africa.
Position Overview:
We're looking for detail-oriented professionals to administer and manage the Permit To Work (PTW) system across a complex, multi-discipline construction environment. You’ll work alongside site HSE and construction teams to ensure that all activities are well-planned, risk-assessed, and executed safely.
This role is based in Conakry and at the Simandou Mine Site in Guinea, with occasional travel between project sites. There are multiple positions available.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinating and issuing permits across mechanical, electrical, civil, and high-risk work fronts.
Facilitating daily interface between execution teams, HSE, and supervision.
Ensuring compliance with site safety procedures and permit protocols.
Contributing to toolbox talks, site readiness, and incident prevention.
What you’ll bring:
Ideal candidates will have a mix of technical, safety, and field coordination experience.
5+ years of experience in a PTW or HSE support role in mining, oil & gas, or major infrastructure sectors.
Technical Diploma or Certificate in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical, electrical, construction, or safety)
HSE Certification such as:
o NEBOSH International General Certificate
o SAMTRAC (South Africa)
o NOSA or equivalent safety training
Permit to Work system training (e.g., ISSOW, ePTW, or in-house systems)
First Aid, Fire Safety, and Confined Space Entry training (highly regarded)
Proven experience with:
Managing and issuing permits in a live, multi-discipline worksite
Interfacing with contractors, supervision, and HSE teams
Handling simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) and risk mitigation
Familiarity with safe systems of work, including:
Hot work, working at height, confined space, excavation, lifting, and isolation
Exposure to international project environments (with rotations, multicultural teams, remote sites)
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Previous work on remote or international projects a plus.

Strong documentation and reporting abilities
Multilingual (English essential; other international or local languages an advantage)
